Nowadays, most people have forgotten Yahoo. And the new generation does not even know about Yahoo. However Yahoo is not exactly a popular company these days. But don't think that Yahoo is out of the game. It is still inside the game. And to remind this, today the company has redesigned its logo.
The new logo marks a new beginning for the long-running company. Designed by Pentagram (The Firm Behind the Bold, Sens-Serif Designs for Citibank, OMNY Systems of New York City, and Cooper Hewitt Museum), the new Yahoo logo, since its major overhaul in 2013 under the leadership of CEO Marissa Mayer Marks the first redesign for the company.
The new logo lacks the 2013 design personality, with a lowercase, sans-serif type that makes it similar to a startup. Who just bought their first print advertising campaign on Subway.
This new logo only contains the iconic exclamation point of Yahoo, the actual distinct quality. Which now shows on an even more aggressive angle that it is trying to run away from the rest of the logo.
The pentagram states that "'y' and '!" Both are set at an angle of 22.5 degrees. Which has a forward inclination that suggests a sense of momentum and excitement. "
Just for your information, Yahoo tried to punch Apple and Disney in early 2010 by appointing a new CEO and buying companies like Tumblr and Flickr, and with original stream TV programming. But it was not possible even by the changes made by the Mayor.
Along with the new logo, Yahoo has also announced an updated version of its flagship Yahoo Mail app. Yahoo has dedicated tabs for attachments, deals and "grocery view" feature in this new mail app. Which show grocery discounts near you. And it has a new one-click unsubscribe option along with new logo design.
